Clinicians’ Perspectives on IMX Archive at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust
Accessing patient information quickly and accurately is central to safe and effective care. We spoke with two clinicians from Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust — Dr. Dehoest, General Practitioner, and Dr. Kielan, Consultant Psychiatrist — to hear how IMX has impacted their daily practice, from usability to workflow improvements.
Dr. Dehoest, General Practitioner
Q: How would you describe your overall experience with IMX Archive?
“My overall experience with IMX Archive has been excellent. The contextual launch means you are straight into the product and able to find the information you need. The interface is slick and user-friendly, documents pull up rapidly, and the search function allows me to locate information immediately. I find the display of data — particularly Mental Health Act data — to be the best I have seen.”
Q: How often do you access archived data in your clinical role?
“I use IMX Archive every day to look for historical information to support treatment recommendations. Many of our service users have accumulated data over many years and present with complex histories. They rightly expect us, as healthcare professionals, to have detailed background knowledge before helping them make decisions. IMX allows me to build that knowledge with ease.”
Q: How easy is it to retrieve patient records or images?
“The product is displayed well and the interface is intuitive. I can usually find what I need within a couple of clicks using the search function. Historical Mental Health Act data is concisely displayed, which makes report writing much quicker and far less frustrating.”
Q: Has IMX Archive improved your ability to access older records?
“Absolutely. IMX Archive allows me to access records more easily and efficiently. It’s definitely improved my workflow.”
Interview with Dr. Kielan, Consultant Psychiatrist
Q: How would you describe your overall experience with IMX Archive?
“I find IMX Archive very useful and encouraging. It provides a holistic view of mental health information, which directly supports my clinical decision-making.”
Q: How frequently do you use archived data?
“Every day, many times. Having access to a patient’s past mental health history is essential for making informed clinical decisions.”
Q: Has IMX Archive improved or slowed down your ability to access older records?
“It has improved my access to older records. Overall, it’s a good product.”
Q: Can you share an example of needing urgent access to archived data?
“There have been many situations where urgent access to a patient’s history was vital. IMX Archive supported me in those moments, though like any system, it works best alongside the clinician’s own knowledge and judgment.”
Final Thoughts
Both clinicians emphasise the daily value of IMX Archive in supporting informed decision-making and improving workflow. Dr. Dehoest highlights the intuitive interface and speed, while Dr. Kielan appreciates its holistic view of mental health data. Together, their experiences underline how effective access to archived records enhances patient care and reduces administrative burden.
