Successful Go-Live of IMX Archive at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust
We are delighted to announce the successful go-live of IMX Archive at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. This marks a significant milestone in our collaboration, as we look to move forward to support the Trust further in its EPR deployment and data strategy.
What is IMX Archive?
The IMX Archive was designed and built to archive the Trust’s legacy Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, Lorenzo. Deployed in the Humber Azure environment, it is accessible via the IMX user interface, which offers a familiar and intuitive layout, making it easy for users to navigate and utilise.
A Seamless Integration
At ReStart, we are deeply committed to improving clinician experiences and enhancing patient care. The positive feedback from Humber’s users has been incredibly rewarding. Tristan Brain, Digital Product Specialist at Humber NHS FT, shared: “The ReStart team developed a system based on our specifications to contain all patient data in an easy, logical, and accessible structure. Working with them has been a positive experience as processes and documentation were clear, well-structured, and easy to follow. This has been reaffirmed by our colleagues, as initial feedback shows they find the solution intuitive and simple to use. It’s been a pleasure working with a team who support us to continuously improve development outcomes.”
Overcoming Challenges
Developing the archive solution for Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust came with its challenges. The legacy EPR data had grown over time, and some of the data was older, making extraction more complex. But through the years of data expertise within the ReStart teams, these challenges were quickly overcome.
Julie Crockett, Deputy Chief Information Officer at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, commented:
“We worked closely with ReStart to design and develop a full EPR archive solution. As an innovative piece of work, this did not come without its challenges. Some of the data in our existing EPR was older, which meant that coding and functionality had developed over time and presented difficulties when extracting it. We were delighted to find the team worked closely with us, demonstrating considerable technical ability, patience, and attention to detail. The team was dedicated to ensuring that the record was accurate and complete, which was very much appreciated by us and supports our priority to ensure patient and staff safety always comes first.”
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate this success, we look forward to the future and continue to support Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust on its EPR journey. Our team is committed to ongoing collaboration to ensure that the system evolves and continues to meet the needs of clinicians, patients, and staff alike.
Thank you to everyone involved in this incredible project. We look forward to working together on future initiatives that enhance healthcare services through technology and innovation.
