We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Delivery team and lead complex digital transformation and data projects across the NHS and healthcare sector.
This is a customer-facing delivery role where you’ll take ownership of projects from planning through to successful completion, bringing together customers, partners and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
You’ll manage multiple projects, maintain control of scope, budgets and timelines, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure customers and stakeholders remain informed and engaged throughout the delivery journey.

The Role:
As a Project Manager at ReStart, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of complex healthcare digital transformation and data movement projects. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining realistic project plans, managing risks and change, controlling scope, budget and timelines, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully and accepted by stakeholders. No two projects are the same, so you’ll need to adapt your project management approach, methods and tools to meet individual customer and project requirements.
You’ll work closely with customers, third-party partners and colleagues across ReStart, building strong relationships and creating collaborative project environments that keep delivery moving forward. You’ll also support our Head of Delivery and Senior Programme Manager in continuously improving the way we deliver projects, contributing to our methodologies, processes and PMO standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of multiple complex healthcare digital transformation and data projects.
- Develop and maintain realistic project plans, ensuring projects remain on track and stakeholders receive regular, accurate updates.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget while ensuring stakeholder acceptance.
- Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, risks, issues and change effectively.
- Establish effective project team structures and create a collaborative working environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and third-party partners.
- Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and expectation management, including at senior and executive level.
- Provide project management and delivery consultancy to internal and external stakeholders.
- Follow ReStart PMO governance standards and ensure projects meet agreed quality standards.
- Deliver timely and accurate project reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the Head of Delivery and Senior Programme Manager in refining project delivery methodologies.
- Introduce tools and processes that improve project communication, collaboration and documentation sharing.
- Conduct regular quality reviews and ensure adherence to agreed project standards.
- Remain aligned with changing business priorities and adapt delivery approaches where required.
Skills and Experience
We’re looking for someone who is confident taking ownership of complex projects and comfortable operating in fast-moving healthcare and technology environments.
You’ll need:
- Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently and delivering successful outcomes.
- Experience delivering IT and data-focused projects within the NHS or healthcare sector.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with stakeholders at executive level.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively when challenges arise.
- The confidence to make decisions in complex and high-risk situations.
- Experience identifying, managing and mitigating project risks and issues.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
- An adaptable and resilient approach to working in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of clinical workflows and healthcare software development.
- Knowledge of healthcare integration and different integration platforms.
- A strong understanding of NHS systems and data flows.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including GDPR and the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
- An understanding of the wider healthcare landscape and clinical systems.
- Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies, including PRINCE2 and Agile.
- PRINCE2 qualification.
