ReStart achieves Cyber Essentials Plus reaccreditation, reinforcing confidence for NHS customers
At ReStart, protecting the systems, data and services our customers rely on is fundamental to everything we do. We’re therefore delighted to announce that we have successfully achieved Cyber Essentials Plus reaccreditation following an independent external assessment.
Cyber Essentials Plus is the UK’s highest level of Cyber Essentials certification. Unlike the standard certification, it requires rigorous hands-on technical verification by an independent assessor, providing assurance that our cyber security controls are not only in place but are operating effectively. For organisations across the NHS and wider healthcare sector, cyber resilience has never been more important. As healthcare systems become increasingly connected, protecting patient information, maintaining service availability and safeguarding critical infrastructure are essential to delivering safe, uninterrupted care.
What does this mean for our customers?
Our Cyber Essentials Plus reaccreditation provides independent assurance that ReStart continues to operate to recognised cyber security standards, giving our customers greater confidence that they are working with a trusted partner.
The accreditation demonstrates our commitment to:
- Protecting sensitive customer and patient information.
- Maintaining secure infrastructure and systems.
- Reducing cyber security risks through robust technical controls.
- Supporting compliance with recognised security best practice.
- Continually reviewing and strengthening our security posture as new threats emerge.
Whether we are delivering integration services, supporting interoperability platforms, providing managed support or helping organisations modernise their digital estates, security remains embedded throughout everything we do.
Andy Makin, Chief Operating Officer at ReStart, said:
“Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus once again reflects the high standards we hold ourselves to across the business. Our customers trust us to deliver secure, reliable services that support critical healthcare systems, and maintaining that trust is something we never take for granted. This reaccreditation provides independent assurance that the controls, processes and culture we have in place continue to protect the systems and data our customers rely on every day.”
Continuing to invest in trust
Cyber security is not a one-off exercise. It requires continual investment, vigilance and improvement. Our successful Cyber Essentials Plus reaccreditation forms part of our wider commitment to providing secure, reliable and trusted services to healthcare organisations across the UK.
As cyber threats continue to evolve, we will continue to invest in the people, processes and technologies that help keep our customers’ systems and data secure, giving them confidence that their digital transformation partner takes cyber security as seriously as they do.
